About us
Rumba Company was founded in 2019 by Juan Cruz Ranieri and Luciana Denino, both graduates in Performing Arts with a specialization in Circus Arts from the National University of San Martín (UNSAM, Argentina).
The strong academic background of its members, combined with extensive experience in artistic creation and international touring, forms the foundation of a creative proposal that integrates research, technical excellence, and a continuous exploration of stage languages.
Each project explores different formats and artistic approaches, continuously expanding the expressive possibilities of the company and giving rise to creations for theatres, public spaces, and festivals.
In 2021, the company premiered its first production, Nostalgia, a performance that combines humor, sensitivity, and risk. In 2026, it began a new stage of creation through the adaptation of duo acrobatics, diabolo, and dance trapeze pieces, expanding its repertoire for different performance contexts. The company is currently developing a new creation scheduled to premiere in 2027.
Since its creation, Rumba Company has presented its work at festivals and venues across Europe, Asia, and America.
Their creations merge circus techniques such as hand-to-hand acrobatics, diabolo, hand balancing, and dance trapeze with physical theatre, dance, and object manipulation, developing a unique artistic language where technical virtuosity meets visual, poetic, and sensitive dramaturgy.
